Where is Priene

Priene lies to the south west of the area of Soke, within the boundaries of Güllübahce Village, on the north southern slopes of the Mycale (Samsun) Mountain.

The city was bounded on the north by the steep stretches of the Mycalle, rising like a fortress, on the south by the Meander Valley, on the east by the mountains of Latmos (Besparmak). The distance to the sea is now nearly 16 kilometers (10 miles).
